AI can generate extraordinary images. But what does it take to turn them into a film?
On November 15, during the 12th Asian World Film Festival (AWFF), SHÙ Studio and Real Reel are bringing AI filmmaking to the big screen at The Culver Theater, together with GMI Cloud and AI on the Lot, one of LA's leading professional AI filmmaking communities.
The event brings together AI filmmakers, producers, creative executives, and technology companies to explore what happens behind the screen: the storytelling, creative decisions, experimentation, and human work that shape AI filmmaking.
On Screen
A curated selection of AI films from emerging and established creators, including work from Kavan Cardoza (Kavan the Kid / Phantom X), Fable Showrunner, and NORM+VOYD Production, with additional titles to be announced.
From original narratives to new visual approaches, the screening offers a look at how filmmakers are using AI to tell stories today.
Panel: The Human Side of AI Filmmaking
Following the screening, an industry panel and audience Q&A will explore what goes into making an AI film, from creative development and storytelling to production workflows and the evolving relationship between filmmakers and technology.
