From Hollywood to AI-Native Entertainment -Summer Signal ’26 Panel

Inkitt founder Ali Albazaz, media executive Steve Bannerman, Luma AI designer Gray Crawford and GMI Cloud VP Yujing Qian join SHÙ Studio founder Celine Zen for a conversation on what comes after AI enters the entertainment pipeline.
On September 14, Real Reel and SHÙ Studio will host From Hollywood to AI-Native Entertainment at GMI Summer Signal ’26: The Modern Renaissance at the Exploratorium in San Francisco.
The conversation starts from a shift already underway. AI is moving beyond individual production tools and into development, production infrastructure, creative workflows and new entertainment businesses.
Closing the event’s main-stage program, the panel brings together five perspectives from across the emerging entertainment stack: Hollywood production, AI-native storytelling, generative media, GPU infrastructure and independent production.
Registration for Summer Signal ’26 has already reached capacity, but Real Reel and SHÙ Studio have secured a limited number of additional guest passes for our community. If you’re interested in joining us in San Francisco, we encourage you to register while they’re still available.
The Speakers

Ali Albazaz — Founder & CEO, Inkitt
Ali Albazaz is the founder and CEO of Inkitt, which is building what it describes as an operating system for storytellers. Steve Bannerman — Feature Film Producer & Media Executive
Steve Bannerman is a feature film producer, global media executive and serial entrepreneur whose career spans filmmaking, post-production, visual effects and technology. Formerly Head of Post-production and VFX for International Original Movies at Amazon MGM Studios, he led global teams delivering dozens of films each year. His career has touched hundreds of titles including Pitch Perfect, The Morning Show, Big Little Lies and Argentina, 1985, and earlier included a key role on Apple’s QuickTime team.

Gray Crawford — Interaction Designer & Artist, Luma AI
Gray Crawford is an interaction designer and artist working across generative media, spatial interfaces, simulated physics, sound and live visuals. At Luma AI, his work has included products spanning Dream Machine, Ray, Modify Video, Timeline and Luma Agents, exploring new ways for creators to interact with and direct generative media.

Yujing Qian is VP of Engineering at GMI Cloud, where he leads the development of GPU cloud infrastructure helping companies accelerate AI workloads at scale. Previously, he served as an engineering manager at Mineral, an Alphabet company, building AI-powered solutions for weather and agriculture.

Celine Zen — Founder & CEO, SHÙ Studio; Co-founder, Real Reel
Celine Zen is a film and series producer, founder and CEO of SHÙ Studio, and co-founder of Real Reel. Her work spans traditional filmmaking, international production and mobile-first entertainment, with SHÙ increasingly exploring how AI-native tools and workflows can reshape independent production and the development of new entertainment formats.
What Comes After the AI Tool?
Much of the entertainment industry's AI conversation has focused on individual capabilities: generating an image, a voice, a shot or a video.
This panel looks one step further.
What changes when those capabilities begin connecting across the entertainment pipeline? How do established Hollywood workflows adapt? What new kinds of studios and storytelling businesses become possible? And as production becomes increasingly AI-native, where do human creators remain essential?
Bringing together people building at very different layers of that transition, From Hollywood to AI-Native Entertainment will look at where the industry is now — and what may be coming next.
